INTIMIDATOR PUZZLE (WITH GUN)
GarE Maxton's recent artwork, The Intimidator: a complex metal puzzle in which parts can be re-assembled into a functional .45 caliber pistol, complete with laser sight. Totally Scaramanga!

BIG BUCK HUNTER PRO
I recently bought the home version of the dive bar favorite: Big Buck Hunter Pro. It's the plug-n-play TV version and it's the best $40.00 I've ever spent.
It is the same as the arcade/bar version, down to the enthusiastic redneck voice cheering you on when you bag a buck. The game is housed in the plastic shotgun controller (and you place a tracking sensor on top of your TV screen). The only complaint I have about the game is that there is a slight lag in the tracking of your gun movements, but with a little practice you can compensate for this.
An epic evening: I had friends over, cheap beer, and Big Buck Hunter Pro on the TV. We played for hours and killed hundreds of woodland creatures.
OVERALL RATING: **** FOUR (out of five stars)
MONKEY PATCHES
L.A. Police Gear has a sweet selection of military Monkey Patches - I'm totally partial to the "Zombie Hunter" one.

GUARDIUM SENTRY ROBOTIC VEHICLES
The Israeli company G-Nius creates Unmanned Ground Systems robotic sentry vehicles (download the brochure) . . . I'm searching for the Hebrew words for "kicking-ass!"
Just found the design sketches for their C4 sentry, by Yaron Loubaton.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DUCT TAPE
• Duct tape was developed in 1942, during World War II.
• The standard width of duct tape: 1.875in. (48mm).
• It is standard equipment on most American space missions - in 1970 it saved the lives of the Apollo 13 crewmembers when it was used to attach a square carbon dioxide filter to a round fitting.
• In the procedural manuals for the International Space Station, duct tape is recommended for restraining astronaut crewmembers suffering from "acute psychosis" (a.k.a. - "space madness").
• In the Alaskan wilderness, in 2010, a guy repaired his plane with duct tape after a bear had destroyed it.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SWISS ARMY KNIVES
The Swiss Army knife ranks high in the list of awesome tools - it's like having a whole toolbox in your pocket, right next to your wang.
• 1880's: The Swiss military issued folding knives to its soldiers - these knives also included a can opener (for canned foods) and a screwdriver for disassembling the general issue service rifle.
• 1891: Karl Elsener - head of what would later become the Victorinox knife company (only one of two companies contracted to make Swiss Army knives for the Swiss military, the other company being Wenger) - began mass production of the Modell 1890. It contains a knife blade, reamer, screwdriver, and can opener.
• 1961: The standard issue Swiss Army knife was updated. The Modell 1961 has: an "Alox" handle/casing, a knife blade, reamer, screwdriver, bottle opener, wire stripper, and can-opener/screwdriver.
• 1985: In the fixit-adventurer-hacker-geek TV series "MacGyver" a Wenger Swiss army knife is pictured in the opening credits, but throughout the series MacGyver usually uses a Victorinox Spartan.
• 2008: The Swiss government updated the soldier's knife to the Soldatenmesser 08 ("Soldier's Knife 08""): large locking blade, Phillips screwdriver, can opener, small screwdriver, lockable screwdriver and crate opener, bottle opener, wire stripper, reamer/punch, seatbelt cutter, key ring, and wood saw.
